Hair length should be ¼ of an inch (length of a grain of rice) for waxing and 1/8 of an inch for sugaring.
Gently exfoliate up until the day before your appointment.
Shower the day of your appointment to help prevent infection.
Skin should be clean and dry. Avoid applying makeup, creams, lotions, and oils before your appointment for better results.
Avoid caffeine on the day of treatment. Caffeine can make you more sensitive.
After Your Appointment
Schedule your treatment for 3 to 4 weeks later. Regular waxing and sugaring will get you the best results for minimizes hair and reducing pain associated with treatment.
Wait at least 48 hours before exfoliating. Exfoliating 2 to 3 times a week with a sugar or salt will help prevent ingrown hairs.
It is common the skin to be slightly irritated up to 24 hours after treatment (especially with first 3 or 4 treatments). Therefore, in order to prevent additional irritation, the following activities avoided:
Using moisturizers, makeup, gels, deodorant, and perfumes for at least 12 hours
Exposing the area to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 48 hours
Exercising or sweating in treated area for at least 12 hours
Using saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, or other sources of heat for at least 48 hours
Touching the treated area with unclean hands for at least 12 hours
Wearing tight clothing including tight panties for at least 24 hours
